2B Beta Firmware update

Hi All, 

The latest 2B Firmware update 2B.008 is now available. If you are interested in trying it out all you need to visit the support/developers forum http://www.e-stim.net, login, register as a developer if you are not already and then once approved you can navigate to the 2B Developers discussion and download the latest version.

You will of course need a 2B and Uplink 2.1 The firmware files are installable, so if you do not like it, you can re-install the stable version 2.104 and carry on playing.

Backlight now correctly stays on during startup, overriding stored options.
O command added to commander to switch output map O0 is dafault, O1 is Map B
Reset now correctly resets output map
Current output Map graphics display now changed
Fast stereo mode now no longer shows battery display as this was slowing the sampling rate
Ability to define the bias in Dynamic Power Level (Follows Ch A, B, or an average of both)
Stereo Mode sampling is faster

Fixed issues with output map B - should have no missing bits. Output maps allow advanced users to control how the levels change over the range of 0-100%

Added Join command to Commander

Commander DEFAULT command correctly resets join status

Switching power level no longer resets mode

Added new dynamic power level - automatically switches between LOW and HIGH, and everything in between over the whole range of 0 - 100% so 1% will be the same as 1% in LOW, 100% will be the same as 100% in HIGH

New ‘Fast Stereo' mode with faster sampling, less filtering increased response and a wider bandwidth & noise floor control.

NEW: Ability to choose output level maps. We now have two different output maps, selectable via the advanced settings option. A is the same as 2.B005 and is the default, Map B is our more experimental system. The Map you choose is remembered when you turn the Box off. Reset either via the Advanced Option, or a factory reset.

Adjusted output level mapping

Selecting Join mode, adjusting the Backlight control, turning Commander on and off and selecting any of the Advanced options no longer changes the current mode. The mode is still reset to its default levels.

Tickle now uses the new output mapping. (Possibly an improvement but still more to do)

New 2.105 2B Firmware update : Its soooooooo smooth!!!

Having spend all day coding, the latest version of the Beta 2B firmware is now available. With smoother output controls, and battery monitoring, recoded modes and new advanced settings the new firmware is becoming awesome!!

Yes we do make it

Don't you have everything made in Taiwan? NO we don't!

One of the things we are most proud of is the fact that we manufacturer virtually everything we sell in our own UK workshops. Here is a OMG head in production.

First we start with a solid aluminium billet. We use an aircraft grade alloy, yes it's more expensive, but it's much more durable and heavier that the cheaper metals.



Loaded up in our CNC lathe.



We run the program and get stage 1.
3" of aluminium alloy spinning 60 times a second gives quite a good finish. (and makes a serious mess if it falls off!!)



We then turn it around and run stage 2, drilling and tapping the head, and finishing off the base angle.



And end with an OMG head all ready for polishing and final inspection.

The ongoing beta versions for 2.105 are now available via our forum for registered developers. We have released 3 versions in the last three days so things are going well.

Next we are working on a new audio mode, and checking up on the level mapping.
